Polyester is an artificial fiber created in the 1940s and has become one of the most widely used fibers in today’s modern world. If you have ever owned a garment made from polyester, you’re probably aware of how strong and durable it is. Polyester fibers are hydrophobic, meaning they don’t absorb water, making them a popular choice for clothing. Polyester was created from the cellulose from wood pulp mixed with synthetic nitrocellulose.

Why is it so hard to clean 100% polyester fabric?

100% polyester fabric is a type of fabric that can be found in clothes and other textiles. It is made from polyester fibers and is known for its durability.

The reason why it is so hard to clean 100% polyester fabric is because of the properties of the material. The fibers are too long and have loops at the ends, making removing dirt or stains from these fabrics almost impossible.

  1. Soak your fabric in a mixture of vinegar and water for about 10 minutes.
  2. Wash the fabric with detergent and water in the washing machine on a cold cycle.
  3. Rinse your fabric in cold water until the suds disappear, then wring it out gently over a sink or bucket to remove excess water.
  4. Hang it up or lay it flat to dry on its back rather than hanging it up to dry on its front side, which can cause wrinkles and creases on the fabric’s surface.
  5. Avoid ironing polyester fabrics because they tend to shrink when ironed (and also because they are tough to iron).
  6. Use a dryer sheet before putting your clothes into the dryer so your clothes will never become wrinkled.
